Endoscope Module Development Trends
Nov 04, 2025
1. The Rise of Disposable Endoscopes: This is currently the biggest driving force. The core of a disposable endoscope is a low-cost, high-performance, single-use camera module. It completely avoids the risk of cross-infection and expensive maintenance costs.
2. The Integration of AI and Modules: As a "front-end sensor," the module directly inputs the images it collects into an embedded AI chip or back-end system, enabling real-time assisted diagnosis (such as polyp identification and early cancer screening).
3. Ultra-High Definition and 3D Imaging: 4K or even 8K resolution provides ultimate detail, and 3D stereoscopic vision provides depth perception for endoscopic surgeries (such as ESD).
4. Chip Integration: Integrating some image processing functions (such as ISP) directly into the sensor chip further reduces size and improves performance.
